And walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
In commemoration of Memorial Day, I believe it’s fitting that we pause and reflect on the theme of sacrifice. The members of our armed forces constantly give of themselves, sacrificing time with loved ones and indeed their very lives to protect the United States of America.
To them, I say “thank you.”
But let us never forget the greatest Warrior of all, whose immortal sacrifice purchased freedom for the entire human race. Blessed be His Name.
To Jesus, I say “thank you,” for it was His sacrifice that made all the difference in my life.
I pray that we will live as this verse instructs us. Loving each day. Giving each day. Sacrificing each day so that someone else can be made free.
I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope;
Psalm 130: 5 ESV
Waiting can seem to be so difficult at times, especially when life seems to be passing us by. Or when others get their blessings and we’re still on our knees.
But the truth is, patience is perfection. The “instant gratification” philosophy has no place in God’s Word. He molds our character by delaying, holding back until He’s finished infusing another layer of Himself into our lives.
Keep waiting. Keep believing. Keep loving God. He can never fail.
Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
First off, thanks to all my followers and readers who made 2018 such a spectacular year. This year I released two full-length novels, Bride Tree and In the Shadow of Your Wings both of which are epic representations of God’s amazing love.
I also spoke at two Christian writer conferences and helped other authors develop their professional craft. But 2019 will be even better. I’m looking to do more for Christ in whatever way I can… while I can.
As we face an uncertain sociopolitical future, I encourage all to develop or deepen your walk with Christ as His return is imminent. If you’d like me to join you in prayer regarding any circumstance, don’t hesitate to reach out via my contact form.
Happy New Year and May God bless you.
