Christianity is all about being different—being set apart for God’s special purpose. It’s important to remember that we can’t be HIS people and belong to the world at the same time. We don’t set ourselves apart but the Spirit of Christ in us makes us be “in the world but not of the world.”

It grieves my heart to see Halloween and other non-Christian influences become so common among believers. Let us remember that God calls us to separate ourselves from the world and its practices. How can we draw others higher if we lower ourselves to their standards?

Remember, Christ became one of us but never associated Himself with sin. He talked to the sinner, loved the sinner, but never acted in the same way as the sinner. Let’s make Him our example. Today and everyday.
