Walking with Jesus

This summer marks 28 years since I began my walk with the Lord. Oh, how many experiences have filled these past almost 3 decades! It hasn’t always been a mountaintop experience. There has been a lot of suffering but also much joy.

As a I reflect on where I came from, and what God has brought me to, I can’t help but think of the song “He gets sweeter as the days go by.” Through all the ups and downs of life, He has been there. A Rock. A Tower. A Shield.

I never imagined I’d be a father of 3 wonderful children or the husband to the world’s most incredible woman.

But I am.

I never thought I’d speak from pulpits across North America and the Caribbean or be invited to Africa and beyond.

But I have.

I’ve been often asked, “how did you become a Christian?” So, writer that I am, I thought it might be helpful to share portions of my story. The bad as well as the good in hopes that it might inspire you to walk with Him wherever you are in your journey.

Some of what I share may seem impossible. Other parts might be controversial or even painful. But I assure you that, to the best of my knowledge, every word will be true.

Expect part 1 next Thursday.
