If you’re like me, one of the hardest things to write is a summary of something you’ve written. How do you condense a 100,000+ word book into TWO sentences??
This week I want to share a little tip that’s worked for me.
Pretend you’re a reviewer who has just read your book and is writing a blog post about it.
Most reviewers don’t go into the details of the story—they just give a holistic view of the plot. By pretending you’re a reviewer, you create a sort of mental/emotional distance from your work which can help you succinctly capture the essence of your story in a way that will make readers want more.
