My wife and I have been really prioritizing family time since the start of the pandemic. I guess before we knew spending down time as a family is important but, with ministry and a variety of other commitments, sometimes we’d put our “us-time” on hold.
But COVID changed that as we realized afresh just how precious each moment together is. So, earlier this year we set a family challenge–to complete a 1,000 piece jigsaw by Christmas.
WE DID IT! All the kids got involved and we had a TON of fun while learning a lot of lessons along the way.
I learned that puzzles can teach a lot about life, and it was great to share moments of casual conversation with the kiddos. Here’s a pic of the final outcome! It’s Santorini, one of our dream getaways in the (hopefully) not so distant future.
What about you? What have you knocked off your “to be done” list this year?
