Our life #2

Like most of you, my family and I have been making massive changes during this pandemic. But, although things have been difficult—and I haven’t had much time to write 🙁 — we’ve pulled together and are, in some ways, closer to each other than ever before.

Here are a few things we’re doing.

We’ve hacked out a nice-size garden plot. To make sure we have veggies this fall & winter, we’ve planted potatoes, peas, beans, corn and some fruit bushes.

My wife also keeps a nice raised spice garden bed on the deck that I built. After almost 15 years of marriage, she continues to find ways to surprise me 🙂 Her green thumb is coming out!

Ongoing challenges

Outdoor learning

One of our biggest challenges is navigating our kids schoolwork. How are you all handling that?

They’re doing distance education through their school district but, funny enough, they finish school in about 2-3 hours on average. Hmm…

So, I’m a teacher at heart and feel the need to expand on their education while juggling my own work schedule, their class Zoom meetings and my work with my church.

Needless to say–WE’RE BUSY!

What changes are going on in your life?

Stay safe and healthy,

JPR
