The Day Christ Rose

Easter 2020 was an incredible day for my family. True, it was really disappointing that we weren’t able to get together with our church family to commemorate the resurrection.

But this Easter was unforgettable. This Easter brought an answer to years of prayer.

This Easter, my eldest son was baptized. This public declaration of his faith—witnessed by our family and those who joined on Zoom—brought me to tears.

I couldn’t help but think that somewhere in heaven, my parents were looking on and rejoicing with me at this tremendous moment.

As my son said, “I will never forget {this} day.” It was a declaration that Christ had risen in his heart.

But he wasn’t alone in his declaration.

The day Christ rose was filled with declarations. The angels declared Christ had risen. The women at the tomb declared it. The disciples declared it. And on the Day of Pentecost, Peter declared it to the world.

It is more important now than ever for Christians to boldly proclaim the power of Jesus Christ.

In the face of adversity, disease, and global heartache, we must find the courage to declare what we believe.

We must break the chains of political correctness to declare the eternal Truth that Jesus Christ is—in every way—alive.

Did anything special happen on your Easter? Write and tell me about it.

  1. Congratulations Eldest Son! Don’t let it end there. Remember joy comes from telling others.
