Sometimes writers get so focused on the rules of writing-—punctuation, point of view, character development etc…—that our writing comes out stilted instead of flowing and free.
Don’t be afraid to trust your talent. Turn it lose and relax. Focus on the story instead of writing “write.” 🙂
When everything’s done, and your inner muse is smiling with contentment, then go back and fine tune. But your primary goal is to tell a story that comes from your heart. Nothing is more important than that.
